Tour Itinerary

  • The tour begins with pick-up or meeting at Cusco Main Square at 6:30 am.
Our first stop is the Chinchero Archaeological Complex, which takes about a half hour to reach. This is a special site, as it was the Inca palace of Tupac Yupanqui. We’ll also visit a textile shop to learn about dyeing and weaving techniques used by local Andean women.
  • Next, we will visit Moray, an archaeological site famous for its circular terraces believed to have been an agricultural laboratory for the Incas. A fascinating example of Inca engineering and ingenuity, this site provides insights into their agricultural practices.
  • We will next head to the town of Maras to visit the famous salt mines, with more than 6000 ponds. This beautiful place is a must-visit in the Sacred Valley, as the salt from this location is considered one of the special ingredients in the preparation of various Peruvian dishes.
In the city of Urubamba, we will enjoy a buffet lunch with more than 30 options available including appetizers, main courses and desserts.
After lunch, we head to Ollantaytambo, known as the “living Inca town” due to its water canals, portals, and houses that have survived the passage of time since the Incan era. There, we will visit the Temple of the Sun boasting megalithic construction using stones weighing over 80 tons. Additionally, we’ll see qolqas, or warehouses, for various products, agricultural terraces, and many other attractions.
For our final stop on the tour, we will visit the town of Pisaq. We’ll start with our ascent to the Incan archaeological complex to observe the remains of the Incan urban center, as well as the ancient cemeteries of Tantamarca, and the Amaru Punku (Snake Gate). Afterward, we will descend to the colonial town and visit its famous artisanal market.
  • After completing our exploration in Pisac, we'll return to Cusco by bus.
